How do I add/upload my syllabus as a file attachment?
You must be a site administrator (instructor, tf, or maintain) to add a syllabus to a course or project site.
NOTE: These instructions assume that you have already created a syllabus as a Word document or PDF on your computer.
Go to your course
- Navigate to your course site: In My Workspace (1) click on the relevant semester (2) in 'Current Courses' and select your course.
If you don't see it there, you may not be listed as the official instructor for the course. If you are enrolled in many course sites, you can also try clicking on the "My Active Sites" button to see if your site is listed there.
Enter Syllabus Title
- Enter a title for your syllabus item and add a description in the 'Content' box if you wish..
- Under 'Attachments', click on the Add attachments button for the following options:
Attach a file from your local computer
Enter the URL (link to a website) for the syllabus
Attach a file from the Resources tool on your course site
- If your site has not been published yet, you will get a message about doing so. It is necessary to publish your site so that students can see it- even if you uploaded a syllabus, it will not be visible unless the site is published. Click the Publish this site button OR click the Publish Now box in the upper left corner to do so.
